General Information
The Honeywell TCVT2 Total Connect Vehicle Tracker (or simply TCVT2)
provides an easy solution for tracking individual and fleet vehicles. The
TCVT2 gathers data from the vehicle’s OBD II interface connector and
location information from the GPS satellites. This data is then communi-
cated, using CDMA, to Honeywell’s AlarmNet monitoring center. The
parameters monitored are:
Vehicle location
Location history with starts and stops
Geofencing capability with associated alerts
Excess speed notification
Users can access their vehicle tracking data by logging into the Total
Connect 2.0 website.
Vehicle Compatibility: The TCVT2 is compatible with the following
ODB II protocols: J1850 PWM, J1850 VPW, ISO-9141-2, ISO-14230
KWP2000, and ISO-15765 CAN.
Note that some vehicles only support a subset of these protocols, there-
fore the ability to monitor all parameters may be limited. Please refer to
the vehicle’s service manual to see what OBD II protocol it supports.
This device uses a certain amount of current from the battery
even when the vehicle is turned OFF. Care should be taken in
using the device in vehicles that have old or weak batteries,
or that may go extended periods without being started.

Installation
1. Make note of the MEID number found on the Module Identification Sticker. This
will be needed during enrollment using the AlarmNet Direct website.
2. Ensure the vehicle is not running
and is parked outside on level ground.
3. Locate the vehicle’s OBD II test port. Typically it is under the dashboard on the
driver side.
NOTE: In certain installations the optional extension cable, approximately 24”
(61 cm), may provide more convenient mounting. If needed, order Honeywell’s
VT-EXT extension cable. Use cable ties to secure the extension cable.
4. Connect the TCVT2 into the vehicle’s OBD II port. With the ignition ON, after two
minutes verify all three indicators are blinking.
