Then check that the applian ce is perfectly level.
(Use a spirit l evel).
• Wooden fl oors are particular ly susceptible to vibration.
To prevent vibration we recommend you place rubber cups und er each foot,
at least 15mm thick under the washer, secured to at leas t 2 fl oor beams with screws.
If pos sible install the washer in one of the corners of the room, w here the fl oor
is more stable.
Insert the rubber c ups to reduce vibration.
You can obtain the rubber cups ( p/no.4620ER 4002B) from the LG spares d ept.
Wooden fl oors (Suspended fl oors)
• The drain hose should no t be placed higher than 100 cm above the fl oor.
• Proper securing of the dr ain hose will protect the fl oor from d amage due to any water leakage.
• If the drain hose is too l ong do not force back into the washing machine. This will cause abnor mal

Safety instructions for use
To minimize the risk of fi re withi n the inner bowl, the following s hould be observed:
Items that h ave been spotted or soaked with vegetable or c ooking oil constitute a fi re hazard and should not be place d in a tumble dryer.
Oil-affected items ca n ignite spontaneously, especially when exposed to heat s ources Such as in a tumble dryer. The items become warm,
causing an oxidation reactio n in the oil. Oxidation creates heat. If the heat cannot es cape, the items can become hot enough to catch fi re.
Piling, stacking or storing o il-affected items can prevent heat from escaping a nd so create a fi re hazard. If it is unavo idable that fabrics that
contain vegetable or co oking oil or have been contaminated by hair care produc ts be placed in a tumble dryer they should fi rst be washed in
hot water with extra dete rgent-this will reduce, but not eliminate, the hazard. The ‘cool down’ cycle o f tumble dryers should be used to reduce
the temperature of the items. T hey should not be removed from the tumble dryer or piled or s tacked while hot.
Items that h ave been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in or spot ted with petrol/gasoline, dry- cleaning solvents or other fl ammab le or
explosive substances s hould not be placed in a tumble dryer. Highly fl ammabl e substances commonly used in domestic environme nts include
acetone, denatured alcohol, p etrol/gasoline, kerosene, spot removers ( some brands), turpentine, wa xes and wax removers.
Items con taining foam rubber (also known as latex foam ) or similarly testured rubber like materials should n ot be dried in a tumble dryer on a
heat setting. Foam ru bber materials can, when heated, produce fi re by spontaneous c ombustion.
Fabric s ofteners or similar products should not be used dur ing a drying cycle, to eliminate the effects of stat ic electricity
unless this practice is spe cifi cally recommended by the manu facturer of the fabric softener or product .
Underga rments that contain metal reinforcements sh ould not be placed in a tumble dryer. Damage to the tumble dryer can re sult if metal
reinforcements come loo se during drying. When available a drying rack co uld be used for such items.
• Plastic articles su ch as shower caps or babies waterproof napkin co vers should not be placed in a tumble dryer.
Rubber-backed ar ticles, clothes fi tte d with foam rubber pads, pillows, rubber boots an d rubber-coated tennis shoes should not be placed in
a tumble dryer.
