9. Site Certification
The SpectraLink field service engineer should not leave the site before
contacting SpectraLink to perform remote install verification.
The field service engineer should contact a SpectraLink engineer on the technical
support line at 800-775-5330. The hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mountain
time, Monday through Friday.
Before leaving the installation site, the field service engineer must complete the
following items:
From the Operator’s Console, copy the PCS.CFG file to diskette. From the
Operator’s Console, press F1 (Supervisor State Display) then select Dump Config
to PCS.CFG

Give the system administrator a map of the system showing the final Base
Station locations.
Perform end-user training.
Perform administrative training and get a signature on the acceptance document.
This document confirms that the installation has been correctly carried out, that
the coverage area is correct, and that the client’s personnel have been trained.
The installation is not complete until all certification steps have been
performed. Link Wireless Telephones should not be handed out until the site
has been certified.
