Quick Guide of AEC-7763AS
1. Overview
AEC-7763AS is a 1-to-1 CD/DVD copy controller using ACARD’s advanced chip controlling
technology. It doesn't need linking with a PC nor extra learning. Simply through its LEDs and a
button on the panel, you can easily and quickly back up all kinds of data, audio and video
CD/DVDs. AEC-7763AS is quite suitable for beginners and office workers. In the modern world
where information is regarded as an important asset, it is really a cost-effective and all-purpose
product.
2. Specifications
Model: AEC-7763AS
Firmware version can be updated from time to time
Supports 4 kinds of LEDs: Work, Error, OK, Power (determined by the case)
Supports the device interface of IDE
A single button: start/stop (pressing for 2~3 seconds)
Includes model A with start/stop button and model B without button
Supports DAO (Disk At Once)/TAO (Track At Once)
3. Operations
3.1 Connect CN2 to CD/DVD-ROM and CN3 to the writer with an IDE cable.
3.2 Connect the power cord to CN4 and the two devices.
3.3 Refer to (1) of Figure 1 for connecting LED lines.
3.4 Refer to (2) of Figure 1 for connecting DIP switch
3.5 Refer to (3) of Figure 1 for connecting the start/stop button (model A only).
3.6 Put back the case, screw it alongside and plug in.
3.7 Use DIP switch to adjust the mode. You can use a pen to tip the switch up or down to adjust
the function mode. Refer to Figure 2 for setting the DIP switch.
3.7.1 Mode 0: COPY
3.7.2 Mode 1: TEST
3.7.3 Mode 2: TEST & COPY
3.7.4 Mode 3: VERIFY
3.7.5 Mode 4: COMPARE
3.7.6 Mode 5: ERASE
3.7.7 Mode 6: UPDATE FIRMWARE
3.7.8 Mode 7: Reserved
3.8 Turn on the power. The system will indicate the firmware version by Busy, Error and OK
LEDs. For example, version 2.18 is represented by two glittering of Busy LED, one of Error
and eight of OK. Pay attention to the glittering. You can define the color of LEDs anew.
3.9 About the buzzer
3.9.1 Error: sound length is 0.2 second and 3 beep sounds
3.9.2 OK: sound length is 1 second and 1 beep sound
3.9.3 Start: sound length is 0.1 second and 1 beep sound
3.9.4 Stop: one long sound and 3 short ones. Press the start/stop button to produce a long
sound, and relieve to produce a short sound.
3.9.5 Auto detection without pressing the start/stop button: sound length is 1 second and 5
beep sounds.
