• The product is intended only for use indoors.
• Devices connected to theelectricity meter
should be of thesame power rating and
specifications.
Product Description
The electricity meter measures how much ener-
gy anelectric device uses. Theelectricity meter
can calculate thetotal cost of running adevice
if theprice of each KWh is entered. Thedisplay
shows, amongst other things, thevoltage, po-
wer, energy consumption, kWh, and theresistive
load (VA) of theconnected device. This product
should be connected to anearthed socket.
Buttons
• [ MENU ] Press to view
cost, tariff, kWh, VA,
Volts, Amps, Hz and
power factor.
• [ SET ] Use to set
thetariff and kWh.
• [
] Use to change
settings.
• [ + ] Use to change
settings.
• [ RST ] Hold in this
button to reset theunit
to its factory settings.
Cost, tariff and kWh
are not reset.
Guide to the functions
Press the[ MENU ] button to view thefunctions
in thefollowing order:
1. COST
Shows thepresent
load.
Shows thetotal cost
(up to 9999.99).
2. TARIFF
Shows
theprogrammed tariff.
3. kWh
Shows thetotal
consumption in kWh.
4. W
Shows thepresent
consumption in Watts.
NB: Theminimum unit
of power that can be
measured is 5 W.
5. VA
Shows theactive +
reactive power.
6. V
Shows thevoltage of
thepower supply.
7. A
8. Hz
Shows thefrequency of
thepower supply.
9. PF
Shows thepower factor.
10. RESET
When theunit is reset,
all thesymbols will be
displayed for abrief
moment.
Setting the electricity meter
1. Connect theelectricity meter to anearthed
wall socket. Theelectricity meter will start
and for amoment all thesymbols will appear
on thedisplay.
2. After about 3 seconds theelectricity
meter will enter thecost mode (fig.1)
and thedisplay will show thelatest cost
calculation.
3. Press [ SET ] once. “TARIFF” will appear on
thedisplay and theright-hand digit will flash.
4. Press [
] to choose which digit you wish
to set.
5. Press [ + ] to set thevalue of thedigit that
flashes. Press [
] once again to choose
thenext digit you wish to set.
6. Press [ SET ] to show and set thevalue
themeasurement of kWh is to start at.
Thedefault setting is 0, but this can be
changed if you wish to set theelectricity
meter to thesame setting as anexisting
electricity meter.
7. Set thekWh as instructed above.
8. When you have set theelectricity meter, plug
in thedevice you wish to measure. Metering
begins at once.
Care and Maintenance
Always remove theelectricity meter from thewall
socket before cleaning it. Wipe with asoft, lightly
moistened cloth.

Follow local ordinances when disposing of this
product. If you are unsure about how to dispose
of this product contact your municipality.
