Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment using thesame frequency band can reduce thetransmissionrange.
• Therange of all wireless equipment depends on thetype of obstacles located between
thetransmitter and thereceiver (e.g. aconcrete wall will interfere with thesignal more than
aplasterboard wall).
If you experience problems, try thefollowing:
• Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check whether this is thecause of
theproblem.
• Reposition thewireless equipment, shorten thedistance between thetransmitter and
thereceiver or reduce thenumber of obstacles (walls, furniture,etc.) betweenthem.
Product description
• Remote control switch for flush-mounting behind in-wall appliance switches. Workswith
Zipabox Duo and other Z-wave-system products, regardless ofmake.
• Supports 2-way communications, enabling it to report thestatus of theremote controlled
device so you can see whether or not it ison.
• Measures theenergy consumption of theconnected device and reports this information back
to theZ-wave controlunit.
• Controlled by smartphone or tablet via agateway like theZipabox Duo or directly via
aseparate remote control (sold separately).
• Also equipped with abuilt-in repeater function which allows other remote receivers to more
readily receive signals by repeating thesignals it receives from thegateway or remote control.
Installation
Note: Thisswitch is designed to be hard-wired behind awall switch. Ifyou are at all unsure about
any aspect of theinstallation, let aqualified electrician undertake thework.
1. Set your Z-wave control device to learningmode.
2. Push thebutton on thefront of thereceiver to connect it to your existing Z-wave network.
Note: TheLED indicator on thereceiver will either shine steadily or be off (depending on
whether theconnected switch is off or on) if thereceiver is connected to your existing Z-wave
network. TheLED indicator will flash slowly if thereceiver is not connected to your existing
Z-wave network.
3. You can also use theconnected switch, instead of pressing thebutton on thefront of
thereceiver, to connect thereceiver to your existing Z-wave network.
4. You can switch thereceiver on and off using thebutton on thefront when it is connected to
your existing Z-wave network.
5. Thereceiver is factory preset to work with a2-pole toggle switch. Holdthebutton on thefront
of thereceiver in for 6 seconds to setup thereceiver to work with apush-button switch.
Uninstallation
Set your Z-wave control device to thedevice-removalmode.
Uninstall thereceiver by switching theconnected switch on and off 10 times in quick succession
or pressing thebutton on thereceiver.
Thereset feature
Hold in thebutton on thereceiver for 20 seconds.
