INSTRUCTIONS
CHASSIS
REMOVAL
1.
Remove
2
knob
escutcheons
from
the
front
and 10
push-
on
type
control
knobs.
2.
Remove
10
wood
screws
holding
the
rear
cover.
Remove
the
rear
cover.
3.
Remove
i
plugs from
control
unit.
4.
Remove
2
tuner
plugs.
5.
Remove Phono input plug
and
Amplifier
plugs.
6.
Remove
2
wood
screws
holding
the top
chassis
braces.
7.
Remove
8
chassis
bolts
from
the
bottom.
8.
Remove
the
chassis.
9.
Remove
1
wood
screw
holding
the
antenna
terminal
board.
10.
Use the
special
spanner
wrench included with
the
cabinet
and
remove
2 hex
nuts from
the
front
control
shafts holding
the
control
unit
and
tuner
assembly.
Remove
the
assembly.
11.
Remove
speaker
leads.
12.
Remove
1
wood
screw
holding
the
speaker
terminal
board.
13.
Remove
4
wood
screws
holding
the
amplifier
chassis.
14.
Remove
the
amplifier
chassis.

SERVICING
IN THE
FIELD
TUNER
OSCILLATOR ADJUSTMENTS
Touch-up
adjustment
of the VHF
Oscillator
is
possible
by
removing
the
Channel
Selector
and
Fine Tuning knobs.
Set
the
Fine
Tuning
at the
center
of its
range.
The
adjustments
are
accessible,
one at a
time,
as the
Channel
Selector
is
rotated.
Adjust
for
best
picture
and
sound.
PICTURE
TUBE SAFETY GLASS
CLEANING
Remove
6
wood
screws
from
the top
metal
trim
strip.
Tilt
the
safety
glass
out at the top and
lift
up to
remove.
FOCUS
The
focus
may be
varied
in
steps
by the
position
of a
plug
In
the
Focus
Adjustment
board.
HORIZONTAL
OSCILLATOR FIELD ADJUSTMENTS
For
adjustment
of the
Horizontal
Oscillator,
it is
necessary
to
remove
the
rear
cover
and
supply
power
to
set.
Set the
Horizontal
Hold
at the
center
of
its
range
and
adjust
the
Horizontal
Frequency
slug
(Bl)
until
the
picture
synchronizes
horizontally.

see
tube
placement
chart.)
FUSES
One
fuse
Is
used
for
Horizontal
Sweep
circuit
protection.
(For
location,
see
tube
placement
chart.)
CENTERING
Centering
is
accomplished mechanically
by
adjusting
two
magnetic
rings
around
the
neck
of the
picture
tube.
Rotate
the two
rings
around
the
neck
of the
tube until
the
picture
is
properly
centered.
